Also, for Nevada this is pretty much a mid-sized truck. My Ram 1500 felt downright sporty in nevada.

The extended ford club wagons of the ‘80s didn’t even use a special longer rear cap section, they literally had an extension and the normal cap, with covers over the unused side marker spots:

Lets say you can fit 8 people in there, at 200 lbs per that’s already 1600 lbs on top of the extra ~1500 lbs tacked onto the truck due to the extra length and cab. So that’s 31 00 lbs more than a regular 2500 mega cab with just passengers, no cargo. Stock curb weight around 7k, call it 10k with people, that’s already exceeding maximum GVWR for the 2500 chassis of 10,000 lb.

N o way is it under 1k lbs for that stretch. Factor in the cab, doors/windows , the seats, the extra frame material, driveshaft, various linkages and lines, not to mention additional frame bracing to deal with the stresses.
